We started this mission of feeding the poor, unfortunate and needy on Sunday, May 14th 2017. We have been doing the ever since without a break.
We are now registered as an Charity Association (STOWARZYSZENIE WARSAW SEVA) under article 40 dated 7 September 1989 and under Laws of Association (Dz.U. z 2017 r poz 210) and logged in the ‘Starosta Pruszkowski’ under position number 134.

What do we do?
We cook and serve a hot, tasty, vegetarian Indian meal to the poor, unfortunate, and needy people of Warsaw City.
This is a religious and humanitarian undertaking. We follow the code and conduct set forth by Sikhism and we serve all who need to be fed. “Langar SEVA” is a Sikh tradition of feeding those who are hungry irrespective of their religion, caste or status.
We call our action “Warsaw SEVA” in honour of this. It was started by Charanjit Singh a.k.a. Toni Walia, himself a practising GurSikh, on May 14th 2017. Like all good charity organisation, we have our own kitchen where we cook the meals to be distributed. We do not take food from restaurants and believe that cooking our the meal is the backbone of any SEVA Charity. The volunteers or helper are called Sevadars.
We are all volunteers. We belief in selfless service without reward, recognition or fame. We do this out of compassion and the love of helping humanity. We don’t believe in an Event page or making this into a social event. On SEVA days, the people we serve are more important than anything else. We do not hold fundraising concerts. This is against the fundamentals of SEVA protocol.
